Have you seen the Camioncyclette?

What fun, a bicycle where the frame IS the basket, and vice versa:

I never knew the Bauhausian principle could be so cool!

Nice.

If the front were a little more curved and not so flat, you could wrap some fabric around it and it would be somewhat more aerodynamic. (Ordinary bikes are an aero disaster; holding an open umbrella out in front of you can reduce your drag.)

A little fabric in the bottom (front and/or back), and you'd get a pretty good fender/splash guard.

It looks like you could also carry a long load, lashing it on front and rear -- if the baskets are wider than you are, that will work.

One minor criticism, speaking as someone who owns and uses a longtail bike, and that is that the rear wheel should be further back. Loads in front of the rear axle do little to affect the handling; loads behind the rear axle are much more difficult to manage.

But otherwise, that's fabulous. I hope they put it into production; that has a more of a civilized look than a Big Dummy, and is less imposing than a Bakfiets.

The minute you get this bike though all your friends will want you to help them move.

I love the photo of the very serious man with the stack of firewood and the chainsaw. Instantly dispels any aspersion that this is only mean for housewives doing their grocer shopping.

... well, maybe not "instantly" ...

You are all making me laugh in the best possible way! It is certainly true, anyone who gets this bike will be asked to help friends move...

Now, imagine this bike bedecked in fake flowers like the Amsterdam bike today! It's would be like a one wo/man parade!

OMG I have a serious problem with cargo bikes. If I had endless money and endless storage pace I swear I would collect bikes with huge boxesand racks in all colors and sizes and switch em up like people switch shoes. LOVE it. and it's my fav color- yellow.
